Former Seattle RMHC Resident
As a former resident, I know first-hand how important it is to have an organization like Ronald McDonald House of Seattle. Because of the Ronald McDonald House, I was allowed more time to concentrate on my son's cancer treatment at Children's Hospital.
We were told by doctors they wanted us to stay close to the hospital. During our year-long stay at the House, I didn't have to worry about housing, dinners, or how to provide a home atmosphere to relax and enjoy life with my son. After our last day at the Ronald McDonald House I promised to find a way to help other families, as much as I could, by giving back to the House. I knew just how much every little thing helped.
Men in Kilts is the perfect way to do just that. Each year, the money that is raised, just for wearing a kilt, goes directly back to families and allows them to have one fewer worry in their lives. It is an honor and privilege to be part of such a great fundraiser.
